SUGGESTIONS FOR THE GUIDANCE OF THE CLERGY WITH REFERENCE TO THE MARRIAGE AND REGISTRATION ACTS, ETC.
The latest edition of the 'Guidebook for the Clergy' is now available to download from the government's website, along with an occasional update newsletter to the Clergy.

CHURCH OF ENGLAND'S WEDDINGS PROJECT RESOURCES CENTRE.
The Church Support Hub is provided to clergy and parishes by the Archbishops' Council, and is intended to give practical resources and the latest information to support key opportunities for ministry and mission within the Church of England's occasional offices: churchsupporthub.org/weddings. This replaces the 'Just for Vicars' section of the 'Your Church Wedding' website.

GUIDANCE ON DATA PROTECTION REQUIREMENTS AND RECORDS MANAGEMENT.
The Church of England Records Centre publishes guides to parishes on the requirements of the Data Protection Act and the management of parish records.
Useful publications include Keep or Bin - The Care of your Parish Records, the Data Protection factsheet, and other factsheets in the Records management toolkit.

SPECIFIED EVIDENCE CHECKLIST
Clergy are encouraged to use the 'Specified Evidence' checklist which has been prepared by the Diocesan Registry. This should assist the clergy in ensuring they comply with the new legal requirements about seeing evidence of nationality before banns of marriage can be published.
